Actually it's a mediocre card from 2005. And it's still able to run new games. Strange huh? Don't underestimate older cards, just because they are old.
Trust me I don't.

I had an ATI card for like 4 years (no srsly), but it burned up a few months ago.
It was able to run source in pretty much the same settings as yours could.
But no HDR made me a sad cow D:

Also, I've been using the same CPU for like 3 years now.
Still works great...

Strange, I can play it with my 2,5 year old 9550 128 MB with almost everything on high (shadows on medium of course), with HDR on, and in 800x600 at an average 45-50 fps, 1024x768 at average 35 fps. Sure, you can't say "OMFG120FPSLOL" but it's certainly not lagging. And if you're not in posession of a big-ass 19" monitor, 1024x768 is quite nice. As for the 64 MB Geforce 4 Ti...the raw power of that card is even greater, than the power of my 9550. (old example, but true: 3DMark2001 at 1024x768 - Radeon 9550: ~7200 points, Geforce Ti 4200: ~10000 points)
That must be one seriously awesome 128 card ;O

I don't buy new stuff very often, but when I do buy, I buy good stuff which probably will last for a long time

The absolute minimum today is 128, and that still sucks!

HL2: Ep2 needs 128Mb mem on the GPU.
Isn't it obvious that 64 is rather crappy?

No, Ep2 won't work with 64, and it won't work well with 128 either.
I tried it on my laptop which is better than the minimum specs needed.
It lagged like hell

When you want to use a sound that is not in the list, type the direction to the name, ex: foldername/sound.wav

:o I didn't manage to get through the laser platform thing.
However I discovered another bug.

When you die and you load a quicksave the animations stop working (except the jump animation for some reason)

It was fun tho! I liked the music : >

Source doesn't like infinite stuff, I same thing with trains, you can't parant a path_track infront of it to make it keep going forever, the train will then just move to origo and stay there for some random reason.

But I believe you're wrong playbus, even tho Valve often implants stuff which doesn't work, I believe this one can be used.
Example!
The trainride in the beginning of HL2.
The citizens on the train MIGHT be using paranted scripted sequences.

But an other answer would be that they simply have set "move to position = No."

Anyways. Source and infinite stuff, no.
Tried it and it just doesn't work.
But if you would happen to succed, PM me cuz I really really REALLY want to know if this is possible.
But I think that's an update after ep 1.

What do you mean?

The trigger_ entity, or the entity you want the trigger_ entity to trigger?

If you have an entity, such as env_explosion, you can trigger the env_explosion by giving it a name such as "explosion01" and then make a brush based trigger entity such as trigger_once, and in the properties of trigger once, you look up the field "target", in that field, write the name of the entity you wish to activate, in this case explosion01

Edit: I also found the output which parents the camera to the thing called "blackout"
But I can't find blackout itself.
What's the name of the model?

Is the lights.rad file situated where it should be?
In the tools folder?
Where the rad, cfg, bsp and vis tools are.

example, "C:/program files/Valve Hammer Editor/tools/ZHLT"?
Im assuming that you use ZHLT. If not, do so.

Well, it would be awesome if you could make the battle 2 dimensional.

Right now, it is very 1 dimensional, you walk, enemy is infront of you and you shoot him/it in the face.

What if there were several height levels on the same time, 2D combat.
Loads of jumping and perhaps climbing?
It would be cool if the player could use a ladder that was next to him, but yet not in the way for the player if he wants to walk past it.

Just ideas

And I didn't have the previous version on this computer.
Tried to download the old version, but the link is broken?

Edit:
wait wait, in the last version there was included 2 dlls for the half-life folder.
They are not in the new version.
Im guessing that is the problem?

Edit2: cg.dll and cgGL.dll was missing in the half-life folder.
Hunter sent them and it worked fine.
