Someone should totally do a MCEdit/Worldedit replace to black clay.

I'm still getting my gear ready for a trip to Strongholds 2 and 3.

Yeah... Architects collect that stuff. People, trees, cars, dogs, mailboxes, pretty much anything.

Even Le Corbusier designed every building around its surroundings. Every little detail was carefully thought out including the view out the windows. Villa Savoye wouldn't have worked in downtown Paris.

The only difference is that a building is designed on, in, and around its surroundings, and without the place it was designed for, half of what makes it special is missing. It's only a good project as long as it's built in the place you designed it for. A good project is fine. A great project only works in one place. That's the magic of architecture.

Well, mostly. :P

Top secret surveying technology has allowed Architect Corp. to find out the locations of the other two End Strongholds. I'll need six men, horses, and supplies for six months.

@Tawnos: Why 5x5? 3x3 is good and allows for two way tracks.

WAD files are loaded from the game directories now (i.e. your game folder, and your mod folder). Any WAD files you have set up now will be removed, and your game WADs will be used instead!
This sounds funky in theory, but what if I only use certain wads and ignore some useless wads that only add noise? I'm thinking cached.wad and the sort. There are 2-3 wads from the HL default install that I never add because they either are empty or have useless textures.

/me looks at the rest of the update

Actually it's based on some tutorial I read forever ago, about something else only related by having momentary doors in it, and since I had never tried it myself, it was a pretty wild guess.

Glad it worked though! :)

If you only want the door to open after the rotation is complete, just make it a normal door and target it with the trigger_once.

in Help with momentary_rot_button! Post #319483
I think the glass should use target on break on something else and use THAT something else as the master. I've never used masters though, so I might be wrong.

For the triggering part, I have an idea.

If only for clarity in illustrating this, let's say the momentary_rot_button targets something called momentary_target.

Have a momentary_door in a hidden (non-player-accessible) part of the map, also named momentary_target. On top of it put a small func_pushable. At the far end of the momentary_door, put a trigger_once with the "pushables" flag active and make it also target the something else I mentioned in the first paragraph.

If I'm right, once the momentary valve reaches the end of its movement, so will the momentary door carrying the pushable on it. The pushable will at this point activate the trigger_once which will turn off the master, blocking all the momentaries from any further movement.

This is all theoretical and I'm not responsible if it doesn't work. :P
