I also have another question: how do i get a grunt to shot scientists and barneys.Here is what i wahnt to do.... remeber the room i hl1 where barney stay at the desk and sys something......bla bla... the scene resembles,but i whant that from the same door that you entered some grunts apear and start shooting.I tried this scene in a test map but the grunts enter the room and stand still or, they do not perform the scrips at all.They just sit and skip all the scripts and execute the last one without moving at all.(also must add that the player is not around) :

I am working on a transit map (like the first one in hl "c0a0") but i lack imagination so in the next couple of days i will upload the map that is 20-30% complete, so any improvements are welcome or critics(especialy critics) :confused:

I'm back, so good to be back....Ok .. the regular weapons do not poses this things also i ecountered the same problem at the assasin's nv gogles(also a model that has been changed) , another dude said that i don't have "transparency.dll"?Any solutions? :(

dude is anyone bored and would like to give me a hand?
Here's the stuff: i do not have a lot of imagination and i need to create a tram scene like in half life but a bit shorter.Sadly my computer broke and i lost the guide map so i can not post it so you can edit it...... :nervous: ,if anyone can make something i would apreciate it ....... :) ,olso ideas would be great :glad: thanks

also I have a problem with some sounds ingame..... i setup a mmanager and asigned some sounds to trick the player that he is in a elevator, but when the manager triggers the elevator move sound it does not stop when another sound is triggerd.
i would upload the map but temporary i get "the page cannot be displayed :aggrieved: , i will continue to try

Ok all is clear , except the sound part. :nervous: so let's take it step by step, see if i get it right..in the sound/ambience/ i must give the target where my sound is?.
But if i whant to add a cd_audio (sound track)? :
Also i got some awsome weapons and sounds ,but i can't get them to work.I renamed my sounds like the ones in the pak file (hks1,2,3.wav; clipin/out;reload1,2,3 etc.)when i ru the map with this sounds they do not work..all the sounds that where replaced do not work,i do not hear anything :cry: plaese help me

dude, i am talking about stairs, i cannot use an elevator for 1 floor!!!!!!

anyway i have a few questions: 1.I whant to create the folowing scene:
Barney stays in standing_idle,when i get close he must go to an elevator ,call it ,board it, and then push a button to make the elevator start.Here's the problem:BARNEY!!!!.If i use the"standing_idle" he will not move when the elevatorbutton sequence is triggerd.If i use "relaxstand", he will perform it one and then go back the "idle1,2,3"...

2.can anyone give me a short tut on how to create a fadeout, a screen shake, and how to select the sounds i am using for ambient?

About the idle animation.....why won't some scripts in the idle animation,(ex: i tried to put pondering in idle animation and it did nothing)?
Also the repeat ms function does not work(i set it to values between 2-99)and it did not repeat!!!!! :x it did the sript once and then stopt(the repeteable was tikct) :

new question.. how do I get a scientist to stay put after the script is done, because i tried to mimic a mirror, and after the script is complete ,he moves, or if he is itrerupted he finishes the script and then he moves..... : help!

Thanks for the ideas.As I said the story is not final, it's just a guide line, It gets developed with every map I make, so stuff can be added removed.....etc.As for the ending, the fact that the "opposing-frce" ;) takes the weapon first is a nice one :D .The Facility was created as something bigger than Black Mesa, weapons facility, phisiks testing,and more(here come the aliens in the picture) , somehow they get loose, and all helll brakes loose :

Keep posting ideas, everything helps

PS: for the teleport gun , i wasn't gona get it to fire the teleport, but act as a button and create a teleport bubble, and you will have to step in to it, like a regular teleport in hl, but until then , there is a lot to map , and experince comes with every thing i make :lol:

Any of the "casa in lucru" i made a mistake uploading it :zonked: so it got there twice, as for the scripts , they are made corectly, they are not the only scripts in the map , they are the only ones that do not work :zonked:

I am creating my first mod and sadly i don't have any imagination regarding the creation of maps or storyline.There for i will list my story(don't worry i'ts short) and will accept anny sugestions and ideas.

Here goes: Your Gordon , but you have been employed by G-Man to work for a secret part of the military.As your first assigment you must go to a research facility and ensure the safe dellivery of a secret weapon(a teleporter like in op-for).You arrive in the facility and as you are on the way to the test chamber to pick it up the base is under attack by a terrorist faction. You struggle and eventualy you get to the weapon and beam yoursef out.

The part with the arival at the facility is coverd but the rest is not so anny suggestion is very apreciated ;)
