It was a good "home made" video, even better than most of the movies these days spec fx wise, but it wasn't the best. What I'm more interested in however is why you surf a website named "geekologie".

Edit: I'm surprised at it's behaviour. it's an extremely good effect.

Yep, the player needs the item_suit to have a hud. If you find the hev suit talking when picked up annoying tick the "short logon" flag.

And I might as well pop this in here since you are new:

Here's a tip for you: If you want to create dreamy effects where the colour changes, rather than making the entire room yellow for example, use env_fade, set the colour to yellow, and set the fx amount to about 50-100. (The lower you make it the more transparent it is, you get the colour effect still though.)

I like the lighting in the last one, If you ask me, looks like a big improvement from your previous maps. As for the yellow room, exactly the opposite. Boring lights, go fiddle around with the texlights or something.

I like this project, It would be nice If you can pull it off. I am willing to help you out with the mapping part if you require help still. I have four years experience in the goldsource engine and have mapped for cs1.6 before, I know the editor, engine and its capabilities very well. see my finished maps in my profile if you wish. Well I don't know. game_end does the same thing and ends the game. You probably had an error. It is quite dodgy for me I have to admit, sometimes it doesn't work.

He's not talking about football, there are other definitions to the word goal.

As for mikeys question: Use this entity: game_end.
The game_end entity ends the map once triggered and returns the player to the title screen, or in other mods like svencoop, ns and cs it switches the map.

the func_rotating? Or the light entity/brush? entities like that can be killed with "killtarget" command from other entities. If you want the entity to stop working use something like trigger_relay and make its killtarget section the func_rotating so when it's triggered the func_rotating turns off / dies. You can't turn it back on though once it's killed.

Hmm true. I'll add some func_wall wires but not trims, The room is pretty massive and I don't want to destroy the r_speeds. As for the pipes; you can only see a small fraction of that side of the room, the other sides have a lot of pipes too. I don't think it needs any more. I can add some ducts though.

The default of pitch for all entities is west, west is 0, east is 180... etc etc. Some entities don't use pitch hence they will give you error if you put it anything other than west aka 0. That's pretty simple knowledge.

Yeah well, This guy is hopeless. We gave him tons of advice on trains and helped him out loads, he's still asking for more and doesn't know how it works. If he cba to search up a tutorial on how to make trains work properly then I cba to provide more help.

Try the same entity set-up with func_train and patch_corners instead. wont be controllable and wont be able to move backwards, will require a trigger, but wont need someone to hold down the drive key and will have the same basic functions. Can't help you much otherwise any more, don't have the time and I've tried everything possible.

Search up a tracktrain tutorial on this site, or snarkpit, or fpsbanana.
