Yeah, it's just a matter of recoding the NPCs/weapons, etc from scratch and having them use the Opposing Force models and Sounds.
I think someone released the code for their version (Which was for Sprit), but I can't remember where.

Yeah, you'll need a model, perhaps you can use the program Valve used to make the flowing water in L4D2? (I forget which one they used, but it should be in the commentary and Wikipedia)
Unfortunately, Source's water is always flat. Maybe someday you'll be able to effect it with env_wind or uneven water surfaces, etc. That'd be cool.
EDIT: Valve used Houdini to make surface maps for the water, But I dunno if that will help make huge waves.

Part two is pretty damn nice. It's a shame about what happened to [censored]'s [censored], but the part near the beginning with Francis' "plan" was pretty funny. I can't wait 'till part three.

...And as such, the average person hates it because it makes their brain hurt. Which is a shame, because they miss all the fun and all the witty dialogue they wouldn't get, since they quit before getting through the first test chamber.

Offtopic:
children with ADHD are clearly intelligent when they can beat a game in one day. But these children are often failing academically because of poor attention span.
One of the reasons school grades should not be used to measure someone's true intelligence.

Well, then we have a solution to think about; Stop making mainstream games, and instead make games with good storylines, puzzles, inovation, and things that make you actually think, into mainstream games.
Maybe then the industry would be seen as art by the general public.

My first Pokemon game was Blue... Good times, until I got to the elite four and realized I couldn't beat them with a single level 50 pokemon and the rest being level 20s and below. My Blastoise was awesome, but he just couldn't stand up to them... Being 5/6 and not having common sense sucks.
Then Silver, which gave me many more fond memories.
Leafgreen, which I actually beat...
And Diamond (I think it's diamond, I can never remember which of the two I have from that generation) which I was about to beat, but then my friend took the game, put his team into it, and beat it with them, because he wanted to do the battle tower with me. :(

I also wonder what it is about religion (or the lack thereof, however it is you roll) that makes people so touchy. Just like race, I don't see how it should affect a damn thing.
This. Who cares is someone's Atheist, Christian, Muslim, or Jewish, or any other religion? (Except Scientology, that's a cult, it's creator only made it for money)

Well I as a christian do not accept the musim belief that an infadel "non musilim" should be killed.
Okay, there is that, but really, who does that in modern times except extremists? Also, the Crusades. Bad idea, but Christians did that once too.
ust like the hispanic religion where they worship the "mother of evil" or something like that and they worship by stealing killing and gang banging.
That sounds more like gang membership.
Christianity's philosophy isn't to accept all religions. Where did you get that from?
There's this thing called 'Tolerance' that Jesus tried to get everyone to embrace. They nailed him to a cross instead.

I hope you aren't one of the retards that said he is going to Canada if Obama wins.
What would the point in that be? I mean, we have socialized healthcare like Obama was trying to get for the US.
. Im just not willing to accept a president that would rather pray with muslims than christians.
So you're saying that we (I assume you are also christian) are better than everyone else, and as such, should not be treated equally?
WTF, man. That's not only wrong, that's not what the christian faith teaches. Or most Religions.
But I digress. This is the thread for Compo 28, not correcting people who say they're members of a religion and then go against that religion's philosophies.

No, he's not, because those are already released and made by Romka.
He did reskin them, though, and will be using them (with permission, I assume) in The Core.
Striker: Yeah, it's nice. But the leftmost tunnel is a bit blocky, you should redo it with more brushes and smoothing groups.

EDIT: Oh, Urby! Are you using Ambient.Impact's SD Weapons for V_models? Because if you want, I can send you a version of his Shotgun with the stock unfolded to match Romka's Hgrunt model. It's Op4 arms, but you should be able to port it to HEV arms (or, in fact, start from the original HEV model and rotate the stock yourself) in no time flat.

Don't use cl_ . The editor's a bit outdated in that while it still says to use it, (a callback to when it was a general Quake editor) it doesn't use or require it. If you want a skybox, just name it without cl_ and it should work.

I'll do that next time. I've already done everything but detailing the interior of the building, and I refuse to scrap that much work on creating a hole in the wall.

The thing is, you can get past it. Remember the HL2 map with the battery operated gate, and how you could jump over the tanker in the buggy, or climb over it yourself? Besides, players will always try to get past something they're not supposed to.

Anyway, this is more of a headache than I thought it would be. The model based rubble itself was easy, if time consuming, but now I have to "blast" a huge hole in the middle of the building to explain where it all came from. Which means I have to make a realistically destroyed wall in the side, and then one inside that to explain the wall in the middle of the pile, and a floor because the hole is two stories tall. Then I'll have to detail the rooms inside.
It shouldn't be this hard. :|

I'm definitely posting a pic of that area once I'm done though, even if only to justify the work it's taking.

So, I'm trying to create a natural blockage in a road to prevent player passage, and, in accordance to the setting (warehouses) I'm using trucks, a fuel tanker and a truck with barrels in the back.
User posted image
(the skytextured area is a result of cordon compiles, that area will have a building in it soon)
Now, even without the barrels, it's simple to get overtop of it, because you can climb over the oil tanker using crouch jumping and walk over it. Clipping it would amount to adding an invisible wall on top of the area the player would want to go. So, any ideas on how to organically block the player's progress using this as a base? Or just using the road as a base? I'm not picky about keeping the trucks, because I can always save it as a prefab to use elsewhere if I really want to.

Oh, and a gate/fence combo won't really work, because I already have one on the other side of the intersection. (not shown in the pic)

Thanks in advance!
