how bout thoes gargs in Half-life. only grenades, satchels, and the gloun gun could hurt them.....and the tanks u have to shoot them with rpg or use grenades or some other explosive. how does that work

So basicly i had the .wad's file name wrong
it needs to start with "+(1-9)"
+0 +1 +3..and so on.....or will only 1 and 9 work?

Does anyone know how to make an animated texture with "Wally", i tried it once and when I ran the map there was an error message that said "invalad animated texture"

sorry about the pics. i cant seam to convert them to jpg :zonked:

anyway i didnt run vis because it causes my computer to freze up.
also i am awhare u have no lights. i just did that so the errors could be seen more easily. also if i run "rad" it takes a very long time. and it eventuall freezes up. so im not sure whats goin on.

about the leak thing, does it work if i just put a "sky" box around the whole map, because iv seen many maps that have no leaks but have the same problem as my map. For example most of the maps from the mod "Battle of the Melinum" have this problem of dissapearing walls and "func_doors ,and func_breakables" It just seams to me like there has to be more to this than just leaks in the map.

I'v tried making a drivable vehicle and when i compiled the map, the vehicle was like 400 feet in the air. Not to mention that the other vehicle I made fell right thru the ground when someone tried to drive it.

Im so confused! :confused:

Ok...so thats the problem. Usually when making a map i first build the main part and compile it to see how it looks. Then when its done I just put a box around the map and hollow it out. Would it make a difference if i used a different method of fixing leaks?

and teh second and last are the same wall and doors from a different angle in which they are visible.

yea ill get a screen shot as soon as i can, and no i didt see any errors in the compile window...im just wondern if it has somthing to do with one of the compile tools...."vis" maby...what does that do anyway?

Well im compleatly stumped. I made this map, it has glass inside the doors. sometimes while standing at different angles to the doors or even some of the walls in the map, you can see right thru them into a black void. The same thing happens to brushes with the
"func_breakable" entity tied to it, or "func_door/func_door_rotating" which makes things you shouldnt be able to see visible before you should see them.

!?can anyone help me?! :zonked:
