4. I'm not sure, but I think it's because the clip brushes simply remove the clipping where the brush is, rather than actually acting like a brush. Whether or not that's right, I hear you can't use it anyway (I've never tried). If all you need is an invisible brush entity, you could probably just use {invisible or another texture like it, and set Render Mode to Solid and FX Amount to 255.

He means that, for example, a sealed hollow box of plain brushes would not cause a leak, but if the box was, say, a func_wall, it would cause a leak.

Entities can't touch the void, simple as that.

1. Kind of a redundant question, asking that at a forum based on a sci-fi game.
I play a couple of sci-fi games, just like any others. I think they are popular because they can portray a setting that is unachievable in real life (or, at very least, not yet). This allows for the game to bask in almost complete creativity, as the game is the combined vision of its creators (because the sci-fi genre is so large and unrestricted).
So yeah, basically what TJB said.

2. Only one or two, mainly Fallout 3. It's probably skewed my imagination when it comes to post-apocalysm. The common idea about these settings is that buildings are destroyed, supplies are low and most of our technology becomes generally redundant. I suppose this is because they symbolise our lives as they are now. If we didn't have those things, then our lives would be much harder, and many more people would be struggling to survive (which is typically what apocalypse is supposed to do).

3. Really depends on the creators vision of them, doesn't it? Though really, there's nothing to say robots would even be present in post-apocalypse games. If they were, they might not be any more sophisticated than what we have now.

4. Unless people were planning on populating other planets 'cause this one was f**ked, then I don't think going into space at all would be a huge priority. If they were buggering off though, I figure they'd be a lot bigger, and would need to be more self-sufficent. Maybe like the sleeper ships in Freelancer, but with a shape more like todays rockets (cause humans sometimes aren't the most imaginitive bunch).

I took a more realistic view of post-apocalysm. Games would be more creative in their ideas than what I've said.

Finally saw Paranormal Activity at a friends house this afternoon. I've wanted to see this for ages, I had heard such good things about this. And I was bitterly disappointed. It's just... shite. The scariest part is right at the end, and even that was pretty lame.

I never see horror movies. I want to see a good one, one that actually is scary.

Personally, I don't really see much point in it. Though that's coming from someone who bothered making this...I guess the point is creativity with some gameplay thrown in, or at least so far.

Your opinion about Christians is very wrong.

Opinions cannot be wrong, they can only be seen as wrong by someone with a differing perspective. IE, you think potatis is wrong about christians, no doubt he thinks the opposite. Neither of you are right or wrong, it's just how you look at the issue.

Actually, I always thought it was interesting... keeping in mind that I'm not psychotic, consider this... What actually make killing another person wrong? We all know that it is, sure, and none of us are going to go and do it. It's just a collective personal moral view. Pure mass-murdering psychos probably believe whole-heartedly that what they do is right.

Opposing Force multiplayer wasn't all bad. Sure, I never really played anything more than gasworks with my brother, but it was still good fun.
Like most games, I doubt I'd play it on some random server though.
