You could use it in SP mapping.

There was either an example map or a tutorial on how to do this, but you could only open the door from one side.

The server would only be up if someone was runnig a listen server. Basically you'd have to organizefor this.
Muzz's server works better for this kind of thing anyway, Hamachi is great but we don't need it when Muzz is runnig a Steam server for us.

Using a base map for this compo would be a very bad idea. You're looking for creativity and complex brushwork, yes? A base map doesn't really allow that kind of creativity of complexity.

But then again I don't see a base map anywhere, I've only heard about one so I could just be talking out of my ass here.

Well it's been a long time since we has one of these threads, and I haven't started any new topics in a while as well so I feel obligated to do something. Hopefully it won't burn down and sink into the swamp. [/Monty Python]

Talk about your avatar, talk about others' avatars. Talk about past avatars, talk about current avatars, talk about future avatars. Talk about the avatar of that guy that you saw one time at a forum that you troll on. Talk about why the avatar settings on this site suck, talk about why they rock. Talk about random bullshit that really had nothing to do with avatars.

Mine's from a Christmas Madness flash(duh), a fan tribute, really, but a damn good [and old] one.
If you wanna check it out, it's right here.

Ogame iz funn
If you haven't heard about this or tried it I think you should. It's a strategical game about universal power. Register in one of the many universes and you'll start in a random section of a random galaxy in that universe. Build tons of structures, get a shitload of upgrades, research some crap, form aliances, build up a massive fleet, and control as much as possible.
It's kinda like a web-based RTS with MMO-like ideas. Fun stuff, give it a shot. The game operates in semi-real time so it takes a bit of patience.

Does John Stewert count as a comedian?

in Making Music Post #206031
You should really work on your rhythms and countermelodies(if you even put any in there). Most of the music sounded like random beats and staccato string hits. A nice bass line and a countermelody can really add to a song's "goodness".
Honestly I didn't think your current music was very good at all, but keep working on it. We all have to start somehwere.

Oh I'm very familiar with the northern(New Yawkars drink cawfee) and southern(cue banjo) but I thought there was also just a generic American accent, kinda like the generic British accent. Most of the people I know here and on the other side of the US when I lived in California for a few years didn't have an accent at all as far as I could tell. They just kinda... talked.

Would it be possible for anyone here to describe the American accent? I can't imagine what it sounds like to you because I'm American, but I'm sure most of you foreigners notice something. If it's posible to describe, I'm interested in reading it.
