in File converting (.bsp to .rmf) Post #43072
Decompilers aren't terrible... they are just used to find out the entity work from maps. The brushes are too messed up to use anyway, although I could see a very determined person copying one... but still. It isn't like they are some kind of evil, evil thing, you just use them to find out how certain tricks were applied...

Anyway, BSPtwoMap can be found in the Half Life Tool Pack, which is here: http://fmc.clannfb.com/hltp.php

It helps you figure out problems and tricks without having to search everywhere for them, is all. For example, want to know how to put a model into a map? Then you decompile it, look, and then delete it.

I'll probably get yelled at lots, won't I?

in Half Life: Episodes looking for a coder Post #42857
Hello, everyone. I am from Half Life: Episodes, a short HL1 mod that will continue the HL1 story. We have a lot of promise, and many people are interested in it. The mod is based on the original Half Life story, style and gameplay, where you continue in the Black Mesa universe as several other characters, including a scientist in an HEV suit, a Black Mesa construction worker, and a female assasin from the Black Ops. We aren't pros, and are relativly new to the modding scene, but we are talented and motivated.

We have a temporary website here: http://geocities.com/punisher_usa86/news.html, but are going to have a better host soon.

Well, on to the point of this... we are currently looking for a talented coder that could pull off a few tricks for us. If anyone is interested, or would like to learn more, feel free the email me at Erestheux@gmail.com. We aren't looking for a professional, just a motivated individual that is familiar with the HL SDK.

Other positions that we may want to fill now or in the future are:
A modeller
An animator
Voice talent

Your feedback, comments and questions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

(By the way, I apologize if this isn't the place for a post like this, if it is please delete it or something. I don't mean to make a disturbance, I just want to make a cool mod!)

in fy_coach Post #42840
I just put fy_coach version 1.1 out for download in the Unfinished Maps section. I would like critiques and reviews before I make version 1.2, which should hopefully be the final.

It is a cs map located on 2 adjacent moving trains. An attempt at originality. Please tell me what you think!
