i worked out what it was, it was an obstruction... you have to make sure that your platform is below the little ladder on the side, and not touching at all, then you can get the crane to work fine... thanks

I was trying to play around with making a crane operate in one of my maps, I found a tutorial on this at interlopers. I followed it to the dot, about 4 times, but I just cant get the damn thing to operate, I stand there pressing e key like a maniac and it never starts... has anyone tried making the crane themselves? anyone got any ideas?

Hi everyone, this is my first post here! It seems like a great friendly site!
I've only just started mapping, even though I've been interested in it since the original HL!
anyways, my question is can you drag select multiple objects using the selection tool in hammer?
