I am sort of a beginner but i know some bit of hammer but i dont know what to start with designing to practice my skills?

I am making a basic map a aim map but i have a problem with zbots. Even if i add the bots all they do is too stay at the starting point running towards the wall not around the area. How do i create some brains too these guys?
