Agreed, code veronica was pretty ghey.. if you want a game to actually scare you, go with silent hill.. you will have the weirdest, scarriest dreams ever.. guaranteed.. ask Saribous to confirm this.

my favorite weapon in these games is definately the shotgun, if you have good timing.

another good thing about silent hill (especially 4) is that melee is actually effective! which is rare in the third person zombie strategy games.

Nope, they are by S.D. Perry. they are suprisingly gorey for a female writer. i always asumed it was a male, until i read "about the author"

I saw Doom, it got 1/2 Star out of 4 stars from the critics. I thought it was good, the First person part wasnt cheezy or annoying. the story was neat too, with some twists, although it didnt really follow the Doom story line. if it didnt have the Doom name attached to it, i prolly would have liked it more, since i was expecting a Doom-like movie.
thats my review

o jeez, here i go, you wake up, drunk, and you cant get ahold of your girlfriend - bari. so you get up, and you dont know where you are. your main quest is to find your way home. you get involved with many different people. you do deeds for the queen bee, whos husband is cheating on her with a flower, you roll balls of poo for the dung beetles and eventually fight the great mighty poo. next you go into prehistoric times and help out some cavemen and become their leader named squasashi (sp) you go into a rock bar (literally - rock people) and find bari, and she is with the weasel mafia. next you go to war against the evil teddy bears. eventually you end up finding bari at the feral reserve bank and do a matrix type action sequence to get into the vault. there you find a million dollars, and end up fighting an alien, and becoming king of all the land..

confused yet? you must get this game.

what about fortress forever, is that using the hl1 engine, if it is, whats the point. i think we need a revival of team fortress, with some new maps, or revamped old ones. a source version of 2fort would be complete pwnage.

what do you mean m0p? whats pathetic about it? it is a good way to have contact with people. i hooked up with 6 of my old middle school friends with myspace. and btw, the purpose of this thread wasnt to bash, or flame myspace, it was a place to post myspace accounts so we could all know each other. if you wanna make fun of myspace, create a different thread (if you feel that strongly) i dont want to filthy this thread up with argument spam.

its an online profile network. it is a place where you can post a profile of yourself with your interests, pictures, and other stuff about yourself. you can add other myspace users to your friends list and post bulletins and stuff. its a neat way to get back in touch with people you dont know, or havent seen in a long time. my main reason for a myspace account was to get in touch with my middle school buddies, that i left when i went to a technical high school. anyways, its neat, its free, you should register, its almost addicting to manage your site.. in addition to just your friends on myspace, many bands are on myspace so you could be "friends" with your favorite band. it uses html, so if you know html you can pimp your site like mine. there are layout generators out there too if you are too lazy to do it yourself. also what is neat, is that you can put a video in your profile though html coding. i have "Daft Punk - Robot Rock" are you registered yet?

he says that he did it in more than one try, if you read the thing after the video link he talks about how some sections took 8 hours. the reason there arent titles on some of the levels is because he exploited some stuff (i.e. pressing buttons through walls.) also, if you notice he had to get back health/energy to match the next segment's health/energy contents. @asinth you need a divX player to watch this, or a DivX codec for Windows Media Player. you can download divX from Here.
As for the texturing... yeah, horrid in some places, overlapping, misaligned. but hey, this game was ahead of it's time. its almost 7 years old... btw there is a half life 2 speed run in 2 hours 14 minutes. seen here that lows away your 14 hours.. =P

lefty, thats an example of using a talent for the wrong means. what you are saying is that these people used video games to help improve their flying skills. the objective of a flight sim is not to crash into building, it is the opposite.. lol, not everyone who uses a flight sim is going to crash into a building. otherwise the entire airforce would have destroyed the US by now.

I like outlook, I just dont like the price tag attached to Office products. they work wonderfully, and I never have issues with them, but it costs way too much for me to want to buy it. But thay doesnt matter, cuz I got ahold of a cracked Office, and a cracked Windows XP, so I can make all the computers I want, as long as I dont Windows Update. (which I never do anyways ;) ) Us TWHLers have a tendancy to get off topic.... now, back to gmail!

One thing about gmail that bothers me (its no big deal, but I thought I would bring it up) is that when you carry on a conversation with someone in an email it puts parerenthesis () and a number next to the email. I use Outlook at work, and i constantly think i have new mail in gmail because of those numbers (in out look (1) means one new message) Not entireley inportant, i know, but this is the proper thread to mention these things.
