in MY .MDL's BLEED WHEN I SHOOT THEM :( Post #221692
Yes, I have the hl FDG, NOT THE CS. Guess I'm going to have to use the "cycler_sprite" entity. Damn that means I'm gonna have to use a hell of a lot of clip brushes! :zonked:

So what is the point in having "cycler" available?

I have the most updated hammer, with the newest FGD. The monster entities are available and I can also see the model itself in hammer. Only thing is.. when I compile the models don't appear.. so I'm in the process of messing with the settings withing the entity.. like texture and such. If it makes a difference I will post again.

Thanks,

I always thought that "monster_furniture" could only be used in a Half-Life map and not its mod=CS. But I do have this option in valve hammer. So Ill give it a shot.

As of the fire, I cant really remember what I did I just fiddled around to see what would work. lol. I give your a idea a try as well. Thanks for the advise Ill post my results.

in MY .MDL's BLEED WHEN I SHOOT THEM :( Post #221547
Hi boys!

I am currently working on a cs 1.6 map. Everything is turning out great except for 2 issues I can't seem to resolve.

1) I have been using "Cycler" for all of my models in the map (trees/statues/pillars) but they seem to BLEED when I shoot them. Is there a way to turn OFF this feature or must I go with "cycler_SPRITE" and use clip-brushes? Which option is better?

2) I am trying to achieve a "flame/fire" on top of a lantern, and used "cycler_SPRITE" for this. But when I compile the map I can see the flame AND the black background. Is there a way to fix this?

Once again, thanks for any advice and I would like to apologise ahead of time in case I posted in the wrong place.

in MAX_MAP_CLIPNODES Fixes? Post #209921
Hi fellas,
Im new here but have spent quite alot of time reading the posts. I am having the ERROR:MAX_MAP_CLIPNODES preoblem.

Im sure your all tired of this subject but I really beleive I will get some help here.

OKAY, I know what I can doto fix this error, I need to change my "hlcsg" compiling setting to -cliptype smallest instead of the default "legacy". I JUST DONT KNOW HOW THIS IS DONE. I thought if I type this little command into my (ADDITIONAL GAME PARAMETERS) box using NORMAL COMPILE MODE, it would change the setting, but unfortunatly it doesnt, can anyone here give me a clue?

This is what my normal compile thingy looks like.
