alright, my current modeling project is... wait for it... The noisy cricket from MIB!!! ive already completed the modelling along with the backfacing removal and am about 1/3 of the way thru unwrapping the uv map. I have designed it so that it will replace the m3 shotgun in cs:s. Oh and if anyone knows where i can find a cool gun sound for the noisy cricket id appreciate some help... ive been searching a while and have come up with crap sounds so far... plz feel free to critique my idea too! thx

alright, heres my problem. I just made a completely symmetrical map and the bots are giving me MAJOR problems. First off, when i set the bot difficulty to hard (or bot_difficulty 2) everything is great! the teams are completely even. But now if i change the bot difficulty the game will favour one team or another! HOW DO I FIX THIS??? by the way the map is medium sized. If anyone has any idea how on earth to stop these biased teams without tuning it to ONLY one difficulty setting i'd really appreciate the help! thanks

Hey twhl dwellers! Lately ive been toying with the idea of making a map with the theme being the inside of my computer... im just looking for some input and maybe suggestions on how to make the terrain more interesting (for instance, pieces of hardware players can use for cover etc...) and i was also wondering if this theme has been done before. Cuz if it has been done before i dont see much point in making something that will be accused of being generic or a rip off...

lmao, all excelent suggestions, and i managed to fix the problem... somewhat, i extended the wall a bit so that the ct's and t's dont encounter each other at that particular place and thus start fragging the hell outta themselves, but now the can camp there and wait for the t'x to come around the corner, anyone know how to keep bots from staying in one place?, maybe nav_edit 1 nav_dont_camp will work.. lol thx for all the help!! and i agree, it is by far THE best error ever!

k im just finishing a map ive made and ive encountered a problem with it. Ive made the map so that when a player spawns they start w/ a grenade. The problem is every few rounds or so all the ct bots will gather in a hallway and all throw their grenades at the same time at a wall perpendicular to them, thus setting of a catastropic ct expoldiganza! thus ruining that round for that team, i wouldnt mind it too much if it happened to both teams but the ct's are the only ones that blow themselves up like lemmings! and i really dont want to take away the grenades... HELP!!! how do i fix this (p.s. the map is in the mapvault: fy_busy check the problem out for yourself)

k thanks for the tips... ill try fixing it today, and sorry for posting a help topic, i didnt see the rules... and no, my computer doesnt suck... i just built it a month or two ago lol... neways thx for the help

k heres the issue im having, ive built a cs:s map using mostly reflective surfaces and have just put in my cube maps (i have yet to make a light source). but since then when i play against bots on my map the keyboard commands i put in seem slugish, and for some reason all the reflective surfaces have purpleish pinkish, tints to them!! is this because i dont have any light sources yet?? The wierdist thing is that when i play by myself w/o any bots on the server its fine!! im gonna add my lights next but i would still like an explination! THE_SHRUB

Hey, lately ive been going on cs and finding alot of crappy looking maps, sure they play well but they have no theme, no purpose and the general theme of grass and grey stone wall is begining to bore me. thats why ive taken it upon myself to make a completely unique map... the only problem is that i cant think of a theme!!! so my question to you mappers out there is how do u pick/think of a theme and stick with it??

P.S. just thought it was worth noting, not all maps are badly textured, many maps posted on this site are well done, and also i know that if you go and look at my maps they look a little monotonous too... which is another reason why i wish to enlighten myself
