Hi,
Not exactly sure where to put this,
Here seamed to be the best as it is not a mapping question.
I am running a hl2dm server with source dedicated server.
And i was wondering is it possible to use custom admin skins?
I would love to get skins in for my admins to use.. i already have them made but dont know how to get them into the server.. is it even possible?

Hey,
Ive been working on both HL2 and HL2DM maps that i want to put sand into,
But i cant seam to find any "Sand" Textures in Hammer. I know there must be, There is lots of sand in HL2's mission sandtraps with all the antlions so..

Anyone know where to find the texture?

edit: Its ok, sorry, just my n00bness, the sand textures all have grass like thumbs, didnt even notice them, Sorry.

right well i have the elevator fully working now.. the brush moves up and down its path_track.. but i still cant figure out how to set it so it only moves when theres a player on it.

i have heard to put a brush just above it(With the trigger texture) and tie Trigger_once to it.. which i have done.. but i didnt set any properties as i am unsure what to set.. but even with this done it just goes non stop :(

Anyone any idea?

hey so i am working on my first map..
And i have put in a basic platform elevator.. just a simple flat brush tied to func_tracktrain and a path_track that it follows.. and it all works fine when i run the game it goes up and down and up and down.. but doesnt stop.. how do i set it so that it only goes when a player steps onto the brush?

Have you read Andys In the beginning Part 6 tutorial?

I know thats for HL1 and not even for DM.. but it gives you a general idea of how to get your NCPs to do stuff!

Hey, Me again..

Ok I have had an idea for a map for Half Life 2 deathmatch.. and so far its only just a big room like a kill box with a few walk ways and a teleport.. it is compiling fine and everything works when i run it as a normal HL2 map..
But when i add an info_player_deathmatch in beside my player start and compile its not working?
It opens DM and everything and in the console window it does all its work like in H-Life but then just when you think its all going to work..

Disconnect: Response timed out
Dropped Abydosgater from server (Server shutting down)
Disconnect: Response timed out
Disconnect: Response timed out

Is what happens in the console.. anyone any idea why this is happening?

:zonked: OK.. I am doing the whole "In the beginning tutorial" on this site and im on the textures tutorial.. but i cant figure out how to get the "Face Properties" Window open so i can edit the looks and sizes for the textures.. can anyone please tell me how?
