Hi everyone . As with the new ISP and 6 mb/s I can afford to make a server.
My IP is Dynamic , so I made a DNS subdomain and downloaded a small program to update my IP change .

Here's the DNS adress : crystrikem.idle.ro

So , to connect to my server , you would open the console and type connect crystrikem.idle.ro

P.S. I made it a CS Map test server because the majority are making cs 1.6 maps ( trust me).

I will also need an experienced member's help . My skype ID is marcel_iubarel08 .(to see if the server is actually working , making him admin , plugins etc etc ....)

The server is running AmxModx , Respawn ( testing maps , duh ....) , SentryMod and a bunch of plugins .

[EDIT] Keep in mind , my time zone is GMT +2 . ( so if in UK is 19:00 pm , in my country it's 21:00 )

"OnMapSpawn" and "turn on" are commands the engine recognize ?

Hi ! I just got source SDK and I want to ask you a bunch of questions.
First of all , I'm doing some test maps to familiarize myself with the new hammer and engine .Why the lights are so ugly ? I mean , look what contrast they're generating . In Half-Life 1 the plae near the light wouldn't be so black ( dark is a too good word )
Second of all , how can I use wads and how to include them ? I can only use materials ......
Third of all , can I import hammer 3.5 prefabs ?

Oh PenguinBoy , Ati Video cards don't suck . They just can't handle it right with OpenGL . Anyway , the 8.7 Catalyst appeared and most of the problems I had are now over , excepting Hammer 3.5 :/ ...........
I'm playing Colin Mcrae Dirt at 1024 resolution (I don't know exactly the other number) with Ultra details . The average FPS is 30 but I reached 42 FPS.

Actually , I have Ati catalyst 8.6 . The newest one .

Ati is not shit , it only has problems with the drivers . The first major problem I've observed is that it works perfect in applications with their own video settings , but it doesn't work well with the other applications . Such as Half-Life 1 . In half-life 1 with the Nvidia card all was smooth . Now , with the Ati card all is sharp and looking at the textures from distance they appear blured .

Yeah that's hell of a shit solution .
Maybe they'll tell me " Dude , did you bought this card to play half-life 1 ?! lol dude "
Or maybe they'll respect me as a client and help me ......

I have Nvidia video card for safety , but I want to run Hammer and other applications only from Ati .

It seems that the driver was the problem :)) and the windows too :)) .
I installed 8.6 and counterstrike works in opengl . Yay !
But let's get back to the real problem . A new problem . Just like in the sticky done by Muzzle Flash.
I can't select anything in the 3dview ( now it has superb framerate ) nor in the texture selection tool . the problem is , I can't downgrade to the 7.11 version of catalyst . I refuses to install ( my video card is quite new ) .
Now , please , give me some help with this . I should have bought Nvidia . It sucks but the drivers won't .

Maybe somebody will tell you more than I can , but the aurora files are , I think , the particle effects .

I recently heard that the latest driver should work with windows xp with no problem . And I installed it . It seems that my windows is the problem .

No. This is going crazy . The video card is constantly sitting at 79 degrees C in idle and 80-85 when it is used . Somebody suggested me to hack a file to change the fan speed , but that file even doesn't exists !!
And OpenGL doesn't work :(( . Hammer works but at a very low framerate . I can't play half-life in software mode !! ( the direct 3D mode doesn't work either )

[EDIT] Can it be the Video Card's Fault ?

I can't install the 7.11 driver !!! It says I don't have the required hardware . Ok . Hey , who made this driver ? Fuck you !
