when i place sprites in my game they show as purple/pink and green blocks in 3d view

p.s. 'wispers' fucking blocks.....

hi, mr.doomass here, srry's on the right track im getting a copy of both half-life and the orange box for christmas but i would like the ability to view character and other such things to plot out a good looking game for when i get half-life but would like to build them before i get half-life is there something i can download (like the actual sprites) so im not looking at...Ahem...FUCKING BLOCKS!!!!! ;;edit;; i just read the rules and guidlines i just want to reinterate i am getting half life and am not trying to find illegal copy of half-life just the abilty to view sprites and other things in place of...say it with me kids...FUCKING BLOCKS!!!

hello, i recently downloaded narbacular drop the predecessor to portal the game lead me to a verc to download worldcrafthammer 3.4, from what i can tell you usualy recieve it through steam and youre usually have half-life or counter strike, i do not have either( but am dieing to get half-life, im tempted to read the storyline online) i would like to know if i need the game to view detailed sprites, like players and torches, insted of FUCKING BLOCKS!!! X( help,please
