What musical style and specific songs our fellow mappers listen to while mapping?

I listen to various genres, from rock to classical, including artists like Joy Division, Chemlab, Metallica, Bach and a bunch of others.

A small project I've been working on, until inspiration comes back for my main one. Based on the 19th century houses.

(Don't mind the lack of details, it's really WIP by now. :P)

I've been trying to find out how to make the screen tilt sideways in Half-Life, just like it happens in DMC..

i did search for lots of console commands, checked out the .cfg files, and nothing.

Could anybody tell me wich command or wich value to set so the screen can tilt similar to DMC when the player strafes?

Wish i could map something for you, but for now i won't be able to, since i'm working in my compo map and in some mods, so good luck!

By the way, if i get some unused maps i can send them for you, i'm not sure but i'll check it out.

Ok, that's my single-player map for the "Map Something Historical" compo, it is very inspired by Wolfenstein 3D, and it should have some new media released soon.

Overturn is played through the eyes of Ivan Grigorovitch. Five hours after the resonance cascade, you are at the Lambda Reactor Complex, the scientists want to start an teleport sequence to get Freeman to neutralize Nihilanth, but they don't have enough crystals to start a large scale teleport sequence.

This is where Ivan comes in... He was part of the earliest research experiments on Xen creatures, so he seemed to be fit for the job. They had started the teleport sequence to an abandoned vessel that belonged to the Black Mesa research facility 50 years ago, but unknown causes had made it disappear... It reappeared recently after the cascade had happened. It had a large number of crystals from the earliest Xen research. They prepared you for the job, equipped with the new prototype HEV suit, Glock 18, and a melee weapon, they sent you off.

But what they did not know, was that this was not nearly enough equipment to live through the horrors of Overturn.

"IngSoc I like the simplicity of your map, Nowadays most mappers go for new shiney textures and weird complicated brushwork where as you've kept it simple and very much resembling to how valve themselves made their maps. This isn't always a good thing, but in your case it is. "

For sure! My goal is to make things plain and simple, but envolving, just like Valve, in my opinion it gives the maps more gameplay.

PS: Maybe i release a WIP today in Unfinished Stuff, just for some tips and stuff.
