Randomly started this one a few days ago, just for fun. After the main house is finished, I'll move on to the surrounding gardens.

Maybe an edge or a vertex was mangled inproperly somehow. You can sometimes spot this in the editor you're using if a part of your brush looks like it's sucking in itself, kind of like this:

(This example is maybe a bit exaggerated since they may be small enough to be hard to spot at first.)

Sven Co-op has that really amazing physics-esque weapon drop (I think running off similar code to HL1's gib physics I'd imagine) and I'm sure that was maybe a bit of work to get going in of itself, but it would be amazing if you got something like that working.

Hunt Down The Freeman also had an inventory system. I'm serious.

Snehk I think is right about the notion that it would be much easier, or at least more possible to implement a system like that in the latest version of Source, though Half-Rats achieved a great deal with it's custom systems in the old GoldSrc engine. In fact I'd say anything is possible so long you have a capable coder willing and able. I think the real limitation is based on modder ability in this case.

Making whole new prefabs for a thing I'm working on. This hover car took longer than I thought it would, but it'll at least be a great addition to the feel I'm going for, among other related things.

in Windows XP usage Post #339517
Man, I still used XP for YEARS up until like early 2010s-ish. I was using an old hand me down rig at the time pawned off a family friend for like $60. Funny thing about it though was that it had a Windows Vista sticker on the front of the tower, guessing the case was just ripped out of it's original parts.

I was basically always on the cheap for a long time. Now though I use Windows 8 and now it's really more of just a lack of interest in upgrading to Windows 10. Maybe by Windows 30 I'll think about it!!
