We know this is a community server, but thinking that you can boss somebody around is not good. The problem was with those places that Stu brought up in the pics (that neither me or Stojke mined), not with my sand and mining site. There is plenty of sand everywhere, so why make a problem out of it?
I would fill the holes that I dug up with earth, that wouldn't be a problem.

I had to go to the spawn and from there take a boat and travel about 1-2 minutes to get to there.
That was a deserted part.

Well, if you run out of gravel find some more somewhere else. Use a showel or a pickaxe with fortune 3, that way you always get flint instead of gravel. Just sayin'.
Or find a skeleton spawner, and make what Stojan made - expirience farm, because skeletons are always coming. You get arrows, bows and expirience.

Actually, all you have to do is find a large cave and off you go.. Zombies, creepers, skelletons, poison spider spawners. I found a cave near my home and I really wanted to search for diamonds and minecarts with chests, but found a shitload of zombies and skeletons instead. With such a large amount of enemies you need 10-15 minutes of exploring to reach lvl 30.
And killing them all of course.

Anyway, silk touch, smite, and that kill-a-spider-with-one-hit-enchant are the best.
