Im not much of a photographer so heres a .gif of one of the first hl maps I made. I mapped out my friends house then made it really run down and infested with zombies and bugs haha. Good times...
Beautiful. Added -game cstrike and it starts up perfectly. Thanks man.
And Ill def. be checking out your compilator atom. I made a little test box with a T and CT spawn and for some reason the team choice window doesnt pop up, Im just automatically assigned CT. I even deleted the CT spawn and I STILL get thrown on CT lol.
Looking forward to playing around with VHLT for the first time too.

The map compiles, half-life starts up and then the map runs through hl not cs. Im double checking/messing with the directories atm but nothing so far.
Ive also tried shouting at the screen and hitting the keyboard a bit...Im running out of ideas here. Thoughts?

They did TJB, that was the case for HL anyway, the exe was sitting in the half-life folder but for some reason cs doesnt have its own folder inside 'common'. My cs directory looks like,
Steam > steam apps > common > half-life > cstrike
And if thats not weird enough, theres not even a bin folder in half-life/cstrike. I went through all the folders starting at common, inside and outside of hammer, and the only exe files I could find were for HL, hltv, and hlds. I would just install the game from the original cd but my lap top doesnt have a cd drive...

I just put hammer on my laptop and I cant cant get it working with the steam version of cs. Steam updated a handful of times since I last did any mapping and it seems they changed the directories a bit. I cant find the game executable any where. Any idea where it can be hiding?
