The reason why the CS community has such a bad rep is because only children under the age of 12 and the mentally challenged play it. The only thing both of those categories care about is shooting at stuff. :P

Ah, the old PaLo/Anon dispute.. It would actually make a lot of sense if they were the same person. Or not, but it wouldn't surprise me at all :D
-TWHL reallys has nothing to with Half-Life, but instead ridding the world of white people, hence the name The White Holocaust League. This is of course, secretly led by The Arcan.
Hahaha, not so secretly methinks.

in Newbies No map rating Post #206686
While it is a good idea in theory, I think it would be hard to make it viable practically. Everyone wants to get rid of one star spammers and people rating their own maps, but at the same time, everyone should have the right to express their opinion.

Therein lies the problem.. -.-

There's another version of this game around that we could try sometime, you say something about the person above you, yourself and the one that will be below. :)

in Most hated Holiday tradition. Post #206536
Damn, that's one strange tradition you got there, Dustbunny!

I mean, in the bathroom? Why? :D

We don't really have any real traditions in my family, everyone just shows up during the day (24th Dec) and gets wasted, then they start arguing and go home again. I don't celebrate christmas myself, other than that I give presents to family/friends.

When I was a kid though, we used to have a big Santa that held a candle, which was powered by electricity. One christmas it somehow caught on fire. That was a sight to behold, Santa melting into a big red puddle on the floor :)

Update:

Now it seems to be working. Thing is, i resetted it to factory defaults and this time Msn worked without the need to open any ports, just like you said it should, Orpheus. Damn I hate routers..

Anyways, thanks to everyone who responded

I recently aquired a new router, and while it works fine for the most part, I can't seem to connect to msn messenger.

For some odd reason, the msn.com page doesn't work either, so I'm wondering, can someone tell me which ports msn uses so i can open 'em?

I thought Doom III was pretty good. Not a masterpiece but quite entertaining, and sometimes a bit scary too. Sure, it's dark as hell, but it fits with the story methinks.

As for UnrealED.. I never understood it. Seems a bit tedious to me. I'm sure it's easy as hell once you learn how to use it, but meh. Hammer > UnrealED

Every country has its dates to remember.
Sure, but we don't come to an international website and make threads about it, expecting everyone to care. I know I don't give a shit about pearl harbour.

If I made a thread about the Swedish national day, I can guarantee that your first thought would be "who fucking cares?". Keep your damn holidays to yourself kthx.

Oh, and I'm not as angry as I may seem, and I've got nothing against Orpheus. But these things kinda annoy me a bit :P

Well it was a while ago. :P

Here's mine by the way.

Saribous. I got this like 6-7 years ago. It's some sort of demon. Being 13, I thought it was cool. Now i'm so used to it I can't be arsed to change it.

Vempire. My standard Msn nick. Taken from a really old Cradle of Filth album. Basically it's Vampire and Empire combined.

GOER!!. My HLDM nick. was originally "G?R", the Swedish word for "do", but the letter ? isn't allowed in HL. I consider it a really lame nick, which makes it so darn cool.

Slaughterbitch Also a HLDM nick I sometimes use. Why? I have no idea.

No you're not, you're a midget!
An electron with a certain speed-vector located in a certain place will be in a precise place with a precise new speed-vector the next instant.
If we consider that every instant is followed by another instant, there is a chain of predetermined events that make up the fabric of space-time.
That's an interesting theory, makes you think :cyclops:

Even many "fit" girls are weak. My girlfriend competed at the state level for soccer last year--she is in shape as they get--, but she has no upper body strength... she can barely do one push-up!!1
Your point? Playing soccer and training in the army isn't the same thing. Yes, by default men have more physical strength than women, but does that mean that women offered the same training as their male counterparts are weaker?

I don't think so.

in Selective Service: Discrimination??? Post #204147
Not all women are frail and weak :P

With proper exercise and training, anyone can have a "powerful figure". And as ZL said, that's hardly everything that counts. Modern warfare seems to be striving to remove humans from the battlefield in favor of tactical weaponry. So that rule Orpheus described seems outdated to me.

The cops had EVERY RIGHT to shoot. They had no idea who was on the other side of that door. For all they knew it COULD have been a dangerous serial killer.
So, shoot first, as questions later?

Saribous:

They use violence against criminals to stop violence against innocents.

How do you think a police man would stop a criminal with a gun? Ask him nicely?
Did he have a gun? No.

Was he violent against innocents? No.

Your point?

I love people that say they hate cops. The protect YOU, they work for YOU. It's probably one of the hardest jobs you can do--I would never be a cop--, and you cop-hating people should be glad somebodey is willing to do it for they make--it's not much at all.
I have no respect for anyone trying to enforce laws they can't follow themselves. Oh, I can't be violent? But it's okay for them to use excessive amounts of it when they outnumber a guy three to one?

The worst part is, they'll probably get away with it too, that's how the "justice" system works.

And HAI JAHZEL!!1one

How the hell can you stand up after being tazed 5 times? Fucking assholes, they deserve to get fired and gangraped by a pack of rabid monkeys.

That was unnecessary use of violence, they could have easily carried (or dragged) him out of the building.
