whay program do you need to reskin models?

i would guess that you have to use XSI, and by "have to" i mean its best to. It's free to download and make models but i think u have 2 buy it to export them. costs a bomb if u want to buy it the software though.

Reskinnin models requires.

1) GCFscape

2) VTEX

3) VTF2TGA

4) A paint application which can open .tga images such as PhotoShop or PSP7 or higher.

Theres a tutorial online somwhere (try googling 'HL2 skinning tutorials') of how to do it all. Its a real Bastard to get the hang of.

I'll get it on my site soon aswell.

VTEX is included in the SDK (see the Custom Materials tutorial), GCFScape is here, and if you don't have an image editing program capable of opening Targas, use IrfanView.

J@CK, you can get a free trial for PSP9 at jasc.com; you might also want to try the GIMP ? Google for that.
