Hello, my name is Laurence, I have a question :

I read the tutorial on making a mod for halfl life! It works perfect! Now, how do I make the mod work for steam? It is a half life 1 mod but I think you need to make it in a diffrent way because the menu is completely changed, and there is music playing? I want to do that! But I need my half life 1 mod to work in steam?? How do I set it up. Please tell me?! zonked -

Before you make me look stupid 7th I did know whether to put this in the maps and mods section or the Half life 1 section, it was kinda a problem but a mod too, so I put it in both, okay?

Download Steam Splash Creator from http://www.crazymoocow.net/
load your image, and pressm make splash.
Place the tgas created in /half-life/your mod dir/resource/background
and it should work.

oh yeah, what should the size of the picture be?

What music?
And the menu style is a file called GameMenu.res.
Copy it from your valve to yourmod/resource folder and edit how you like.

FORGET ALL THE QUESTIONS I HAVE FIGURED IT OUT!! BUT I HAVE A NEW QUESTION : In the bottom left corner of the main menu in steam, How do you get the Game Title to appear? Mine says "Halflife Visitors" (I copyed the directory and changed the background and all the other stuff) but I want it to say Shortlife!

Gimpshop if you cant afford photoshop.

Hehe photoshop is the best though, without it i would be reduced to using microsoft paint lol.
