Meh, I still think it'd look better with the lighting being a bit brighter.

This area won't even be accessible by players, so detail doesn't matter too much. I still gotta fix up the texturing though. Everything is bloody misaligned... and this is why I hate angles. ;)

I don't like the sky, it sdon't blend but the rest looks good.

You didn't use the leet lightmap trick to make things look curvy, but it's spiffy.

Needs some sand blending into the road on the edges, maybe some piles too since it does seem abandoned.

Lights in teh bunker towers.

And yeah, lighting should be more bright for the sky.

Wuzzit for anyhoo?

I think they look similar because of the textures, and of course those maps are made by the same mapper, its only logical they have the same style.
I need to finish dm_punishment and dm_anticitizen3, but after that I'm not sure if I'll make a new HL2DM map or work on the sequel for my Compo13 map
?

Check this out. These are the latest pictures from my upcomming deathmatch map. Based on Dr. Klieners Lab. The lighting is fantastic and here are some screen shots of it. It's Halflife2 by the way. If you wanna download the beta test map I'll put a link up for it to who ever wants it. Here goes :

It looks OK so far. My question is: is this a map of dr kleiners lab or just based on it?
If you're not doing so already, you can find the complete lab in the example map sdk_d1_trainstation_05.vmf and use it as a base instead of having to make everything from scratch :)

Seeing that I decided not to participate I decided to take 3 screenshots of what I had done so far, and would like to know what you guys think, I just could'nt get any ideas for a transportation system, but, hey, oh well, compos here are endless.. lol.

this was going to be my compo map,but looking at your maps made me think not to enter .I think I need more practice on architecture then someday ill enter to compo.

My first piece of a map in a year or so. It's pretty random and not too pretty either. The picture quality is crap since I haven't got anything but Paint for saving .jpg images.

Yawn.

I enjoyed fiddling with textures the most.
