if i put a texlight on a entity
(such as a vehicle in cs)
would it still give off light?

yes func_wall works and also func illusionary works as well(very usefull)
keep in mind the "light" map from and tex light will not move with the car use elight of dlight for that

Yes, but the light emitted will stay when the vehicle moves, so you'll have light coming out of nowhere, and, as seadao said, there'll be no new light from the car as it moves.

I think thats true for all the moving entities (like Func_train, Func_tracktrain, Func_door...ect).

thanx for help
cause bassicaly i was making a level with like, a river, and a city on one side, and like sort of a forest/cliff on other side
kind of like manhatten, with hudson river,
but i wanted to put drivable boats and make them give off light cause its a night map, but that wont work.. ill have to make it a dusk/dawn map

And just put for the lights a non togglable texture (with out a +) for only togglable and light emmiting textures will emmit light!!! Or a texture with +A(off)! ;)
