Hitchhikers' is good ;o

Thread revival!

I finished Da Vinci Code a while ago and began reading Pratchett's Night Watch, seems decent so far.

Thread revival!

I made a little web page thing about books. It's here.

I'm ~20 pages away from finishing Moving Pictures, another Pratchett. Going to read Pyramids next.

I'm Reading "Prey", a sci-fi book by Micheal Crichton, who also happens to be the author of "Jurassic Park", the Television show "ER", and other favorites.

I still can't spell the bastard's name though...

o/ revival!

The Davinci Code (in english, mind you) by Dan Brown and Nightfall(Stj?rnm?rker) by Isaac Asimov.
Posted 18 years ago2005-07-04 16:05:18 UTC Post #118606
Translations ruin the original atmosphere of the book pretty well. I haven't read a translated book for ages.
Posted 18 years ago2005-07-04 16:07:08 UTC Post #118607
In most cases, yes, (cough, harry potter) but some translators are quite talented.

Besides, finding Asimov in original text.. I'd have to go to Stockholms Stadsbibliotek! That'd take like.. 20 minutes!!111!!

Halo: the fall of reach, becasue I had heard only good things about.

and now I must say good things about it to

anything lacking in halos story(which at this point to me is better in some ways then Half-lifes, at least from a gamemakers standpoint anyway) is explained in fall of reach.

and now I am having severe contemplations about using my revived Blender skills to find more people to make a movie out of it with me. it would defidenty make a good movie

yes, good stuff indead, now I just need to find/train some more experts at using blender, then the movies 135000 frames will be made with all the haloey goodness inside.

I now hate my ToDo list, it has to many things with priority marks next to them:
-*Mini-MAC gun - designed with parts being ordered soon
-*Halo: fall of reach movie - screenplay being written
-*Problem-Reaction-Kill - now revived, in a manner of speaking
-*HL:Hostage Situation Ending - going good
-random EM weapons - all put on hold until MAC is built
-New Tesla coil - same
-8.0GHZ FreeBSD processing cluster - need the $800
-Beating Steel Batalion - not enough time to try the final levels
-random other crap that ive planned on doing and never got around to

anyone here know how to use blender with some degree of goodness anyway?
