Make it a TWHL yellow or orange or something. The brown is horrible, tbh.
And the old system of forum dots was much better IMO. Dunno if others agree with me, but green seems much more of a 'New post' colour than red does.

Everyone complained that the green looked nasty.

The orange is too bright, the yellow is weird, and the grey is what we had before, which made the title blur into the body.

Put a border around the grey then.
edit: also, make a list of all the changes, so people are aware of things that aren't too obvious (such as the edit button for the most recent post). Change log is coming. Says so on the second News post.
It'd be great to have an address book for our PMs too..

Yeah like when you post a forum post and I said that the new color in the front page doesn't look good so try using something more twhly(orange/yellow) and for the sticky thread with new posts' color I seggest green and for the closed red!

You've seen the full Mercutio? That has address books. Just that I wanted to get the update done in a fairly short space of time. The PMs don't have emoticon clicky-ness, either, and [quote] messes up a little (one of the few things I couldn't test on my own server).
Regarding the "Done" edit things, apparently it takes you back to the edit page after three seconds. Anyway, yes, it should take you back and will do. Development hasn't finished!
I will try some other colours for news stuff.
Elon: I think we'll have to have a vote on colours. Didn't you complain about the green before anyway?

There should also be a hammer tutorial section so all the tutorials that are on how to use hammer and can be helpfull to both source and rgular mappers! Like compiling introduction tutorial! And there should be a misc section that all the tutorials that are not on mapping at all(like the 'tutorial submission' tutorial) will be there!

What we need i a warning system, that could come in handy.
Breif outline:
Everytime you Spam, do something stupid, abuse the PM system (hehe) or anything like that you get 1 warning point. If you get 3 warning Points, you get banned for 3 days. After that you loose the warning points.
The more serious the offence (Cussing, Racist or sexist) will earn you say 3 points. It's up to 7th to decide that. If you get 5 points, you get banned for say a week. The warning points stay on after that. If you get 7 points, you ar permantly banned forever.
It is possible because I have seen it before on other forums.
Tell me what you think 7th!
