Hey guys, just wanted to share something I made on accident with you. During my creation of this rounds compo I noticed something familiar about the cliff and its shading. Check it out.

looks like a devastated-by-vertex-manipulation-square to me..

I can't enter it for I'm the judge! :lol: Unbreakable,vassy,armadilo,zombie loffle,pepper....well there are more people who wants to enter but I don't remember whom! :)

And as for that rock face he probebly use vertex manupelation! It's harder to think about it then to do it! (well for me)

Yeah, I made this hole formation with like 2 invalid solid structure and a MAX_LEAF_FACES error. Quickly fixed. But this was easily done with vertex manipulation, took maybe 30 minutes

Madcow this stone is hollow if he used the tarrein method! And it's really not astonishing easly done with out invaild solids or any other error. :|

Yeah, i also uses that technique all the time, the thing that takes most of the time is the sewing if the horizontal and vertical triangles, though that is usualy a matter of clear thinking.

I thats why you submitted that tutorial to Twhl! :lol: I was too lazy to read your tutorial so I looked at the screenies and figured it out my self only that my way to do it is better! Don't clip the squares till you make a turn then you wont get stuck with lots of trinangles and you can make nicer turns. :)

It wasn't that hard to make!! I wouldn't of had ANY invalid structure errors if not for the entrance I made into the side, where I draged some vertexes to far up and made a 2D brush.

Try using the one of 'swmp' textures I remember that one of them is nice! ;) and did you use those 'crys' textures for those crystals? I remember that they are right above the generic textures. ;)
