Actualy, a steel-concrete-reinforced 2meter(6feet) thick wall bended like it was made of rubber. And that was in a building next to the reactor.

It was all...well, unnerving to see everything like that. I wonder what it would be like to go there and experience it first hand instead of through photos
Maybe, when im much older, coming to the senior part of my life. I will try and get it there...Maybe i'll have a lil' more luck although it most likely will never happen.

What i don't get is why people won't move. Those 3,500 folks still staying there are idiots. Sure its for 'noble' causes but their dropping like flys. If i were them (at the point of the reactor failure) i'd sell everything i got (mainly just tear down my house and sell the bricks off before they become radioactive) and move like the wind.

Actually, they offer tours there. I think there's half-day and full day ones. No joke.
Was reading about it in the paper a while ago, apparently this was just someone participating on one of said tours and they just built the site around it. I think they've admitted it was a hoax a while back too.
Still, very interesting, and some nice photograps. Wouldn't mind taking a visit there.

I'd play Stalker and get a good impression of how that area really is. No way I'm going there myself. I've got other favorite vacation spots to go...
I've read they offered tours there a while ago, too, but as far as I know most people didn't like the dead cities. Seems that silence is creepy there.

I'd reckon it only caters to a specific audience. Mainly photographers. ;P
