A few people have told me not to carve i just would like to know how to make a hallway without carving?

make individual brushes, creating the shape of your hallway :)

you can carve if you carve properly, carve wrong and you can create problems. :aghast:

also, you can use the clip tool to make your brushes more unique... less blocky.

i was just looking at the hallway tutorial in the intermediate section and it says that you need to know the basics of using the cliping tool where can i learn how to use it?

a note on carving: it's a useful tool, but do NOT EVER carve with a cylinder! Every time I do that, I get leaks that are actually less than 1 unit wide!

useing clipping, vm and brush by brush level building i find i nearly never hollow or carve
