This so called TWHL won-server thingy is dumb.

Why don't you get a 24/7 steam server were are the TWHL poeple can play.

Make me admin and it will rock! :P
Posted 18 years ago2005-09-13 14:21:11 UTC Post #134471

Hey, I haven't had Steam for quite some time too. You don't have to get it...

But it surely is a handy thing to have. Automatic updates for your games and easy on-line gaming without security risks with shared files... ;)

EDIT: It can convert your old HL install to a Steam install, so you don't have to download HL all over again when you already have it.

meh i don't have steam too. I have WON-HL and i'm satisfied with that.

Elong firewall doesn't make me lag more. It's all about location and internet connection.

@ muzzle

Bind sv_gravity -1000
Bind sv_gravity 10000 :glad:

Remember the gib walking in killbox? RIFK :) . Though i believe it made the map crash :P .
Posted 18 years ago2005-09-13 16:15:52 UTC Post #134502
Bind sv_gravity -1000
Bind sv_gravity 10000
That command won't do anything. :

I prefer:

bind "z" "sv_gravity -1000"
bind "x" "sv_gravity 10000

"

Here is a diagram illustrating disabling of File and Printer Sharing only for Hamachi. The shots are edited, obviously. Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Connection Properties -> Untick "use file and printer sharing".

I think you can play any game with Hamachi, as long as you use the lan multiplayer option on the game. So yeah, CS is possible too, in fact, everything.

We have about 10/12 members now. :)
Yay for Saco. :)

No.. You join the server thru hamachi and then you will be able to see any active LAN games in the LAN game section in HL. Or create your own.

There isn't a dedicated server up, though, Elon, and I believe one can only have sixteen people in a network ? for free, at least.
