What?
Half-Life IS Deathmatch. It is not a seperate application like HL2DM. HL1DM "lives" inside Half-Life. If you have non Steam Half-Life, you have Half-Life.
Connect to Hamachi, login in the TWHL network, ask someone to host, then start up HL, and look for LAN servers.

That Hammachi thing so fucked up my internet. It decided to overwrite my internet connection data with it's fake LAN data. I'm not too comfortable with the idea of someone browsing and looking at any files on my computer anyways. The principle of how it works though is rather interesting. I just don't want people connected to my computer who have that much access.
Why can't we just host an MP server anyways and base it out of IRC? That's easier...

Ok I've decided to break down and give it a shot, look for Worldcraft Dude, Cheesy Goodness, or take my hand. It might be a few days before I actually join though. See you there.

I try to conect but it always says the server is full when I type in this server information. I don't get it, I find it highly unlikley that every single time I've tried to connect 16/16 people were playing. Whats going on?

They're not playing, but they have logged into the network.
Sunday or Thursday I'll jack a box and get my router setup.
I still don't get the point of Hammachi and steam-avoidance aside from the fact it fucked my internet for abit. Pirates? Oh well, sucks for you. Somehow I don't feel sorry. Don't want to upgrade to Steam and get bug fixes, the latest engine and much more? Sucks for you. Steam internet is fine for me. None of that 'bandwith hog, etc' shit about it. It plays just like WON but officially.
