I have a problem with a CS:S map,

I have a prop_static, with some smallish brushes on it.

I made the brushes into func_illusionary's.

When I enter the room, I look at the objects on the table, and their black. If I move around the room, and look at them at different angle's, they turn from black to textured, depending on what angel I'm looking at it from.

Can anyone think of reasons for this ?

Sounds like you need to put a few cubemaps in there. Also, are you running fast or full light?

You probably used model textures. These are vertex lit and so they often flicker between black and normal in-game. Use non-model textures instead. You can recognize model textures by the 'model/' in their pathname.

I accidently used a model texture just a sec ago and it goes black ^^

Yes, I am using model textures.

And no I don't have cubemaps.

And I am running fast rad

But if I make them normal brushes, not entities, they don't change to black.

What about textures with /props, but no /model.

Do they act the same ?

Oh yes, sorry bout that.

Well, anyway. I've decided to not make them entities, and just leave them as brushes.
