Hey, guess what? I downloaded a 30 day trial, and after the 30 days were up, it just stopped bugging me about the limit. It's like you can get the full version for free but for the first 30 days it bugs you about the limit. :P

I dunno. I just downloaded it, when I had only one day left I thought "oh s***", causeI hadn't made anything from it. The next day, I had a look at it to see if it had registering details, and it just loaded quite happily and works still.

Are there any experienced modellers here? Anyone know a decent (comprehensible) tutorial on getting started? I followed the included MS one but got lost when he started "patching up" the blade :( :x

someitmes the 30 day limit warning is so bad youd want to pay for it instead of getting it for free..... shipping detail, cost, how mnany, legal shit, on and on and on it keeps nagging you about

Yeah. Great that it still works, eh? :P
Posted 20 years ago2003-09-27 16:12:51 UTC Post #1759
I never tried Milkshape, because I heard that until you registered you couldn't save any of your work. So, you could make a cool model in Milkshape, but if you hadn't paid, you couldn't save and all your hard work would disapear.

Is that bull? Can you keep using it after 30 days?

Also, if it stops working after 30 days, why can't you just reinstall it? Then the counter would go back up to 30, wouldn't it?

Yes, no, and no. In that order: you can save/export, etc, your work, shouldn't be able to use it after 30 days, and also, it won't remove registry keys or whatever that control the counter.
