I have two things to say:

a. You have snow. Bah. It never snows down here. Hails, maybe.

b. Christmas sucks. :zonked:

Garg, because they are on the other side of the world, meaning the sun exposure is different, causing different atmospheric conditions, therefor causing a different climate, isn't that OBVIOUS?
m0p m0pIllogical.

Americans, jeez.

Anyhow, hasn't snowed here yet, I'm guessing Merc lives farther north than me.

We'll shoot a "Finnish winter war" movie in school soon :).

isn't that OBVIOUS?
LOL, I thought everyone knew that. But then, Garg could just be joking.

The main reason for the difference in seasons is the tilt of Earth's axis. If the rotational axis of the planet is exactly perpendicular to the plane of Earth's orbit around the Sun, then there wouldn't be any seasons.

If you're curious, read through this whole article.

I love this sort of day. Cold, still, clear, and bright. Best. Weather. Ever.

Did you know that in Russia, they have Grandfather Frost and the Snowmaiden instead of Father Chrimbo/Santa/etc.? They celebrate it on, I think, the seventh of January, too. Orthodox church.

And did you know that Santa Claus lives in Korvatunturi, Finland. Not in North Pole :glad:

It just snowed first time. I hate winter. :(

Christmas? Never had any connection with this sun religion day(s). Still cant understand why we celebrate it at that time, hell even the calender we use is completely wrong.

So yeah, i dont like it a bit.

ah...Christmas...Although it hasn't actually snowed very much during christmas, its more like a thin layer of snow which turns to sludge. And the ground turns into one big skating ring.

And santa claus is a big PERVERT.

i like the lead up to christmas... the octobers and the novembers. leaving for school at 7:30am. the grass's due is just starting to freeze so you get a lovely crunch walking on it. and the air. the air is at its purist in a cold morning. sharp and crisp. beautiful.

Christmas itself? i like presents certainly.

Who am I kidding, bring on the TWHL presents!

Good ol rain these days...I remember when it snowed, I rolled a huge ball of snow and accidently dropped it so it rolled down a huge hill and crashed into my father. Haha good memories.

Many americans seem to believe that it's winter all year around here in Sweden. I've even heard americans say that there are polar bears here. :D

Well, it's not helped by the Pirate Bay:
Unlike certain other countries, such as the one you're in, we have
sane copyright laws here. But we also have polar bears roaming the streets and attacking people :-(.
As you may or may not be aware, Sweden is not a state in the United States of America. Sweden is a country in northern Europe.

You would have to be an American to believe that ;)

We do have polar bears here - they invade every 3 years in their annual mating ritual. The streets are covered with white fur and blood.

Anyhow, Piratbyr?n (Owners of Piratebay) rule - my idols.

The Earth has a tilted axis, so when we have summer, we get more exposure and they're tilted farther away from the sun in the southern hemisphere, so... bla bla bla.

Winter's pretty crappy here... it just gets wet.

It's hard to be a finn. It's -50 celcius always here and we live in forests.
Oh, and we don't have any technology (Well, we've got rocks and sticks..).
Btw, polar bears killed my family :(

most Americans are retarded dunce.
no, only the ones on tv or the ones in the government. (G. W. B., not to mention anyone by name...)

Christmas is funny with it's themes of snow, and a "winter wonderland." Half the world is in midsummer during christmas. But not me, in the us. Hah.
