Hey there, I've been blabbing about this on the Shoutbox, but I wanted to get more people interested. It's an online-enabled driving sim. Open source with really good graphics. I wanted to rally around some people to come play online. I suggest getting the 1975 mini (see the download section) so we can all race each other.

The site is: http://www.racer.nl/

Haha now :) Original :glad:
I'll download now and you can PM when you feel like racing or perhaps add me on msn and chat.

Edit

Uhh I try to run it but I get errors about SYSTEM32, this file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.
Is it 16 bit?

I hope you're running config.exe, choosing Keyboard/Generic Joystick and clicking Play! :D On the left side of the window you can see colour-depth, pick 32-bit and fullscreen...
It's not 16-bit...

We'll just meet on #twhl

Without a joystick or steering wheel, yeah. Otherwise it owns. And for something free, you can't complain.

Is there a driving manual anywhere? It's a bit strange.

It's pretty simple once you get to know it. I was actually going to grab the source and make it more pretty and easy, but there you go... anyway. Press S to start the engine, forward to accelerate, back to brake, left/right to steer and A/Z to shift gear up/down. Use number keys (not numpad) 1-0 for camera angles. In-car camera is usually 0.
