Get Zoner's Tools from the Links page and try compiling with them. If you're still unsuccessful, please post the new compile log.

[m]Moved to the correct forum.[/m]

Are there any accents or anything in the path to your map ('?', '?', etc.)?

Do you have any letters like (ą,ę,į,ų,?, etc.) in the name of your map?
If you have them, change them to normal ones.. :)

You may have several problems. The first one I see is that hlcsg is not running. There is no output from it.

Check that you have the correct path to the compiling tools first and get hlcsg running before you worry about later problems. They may go away when you get the first problem fixed.

Why bother? He's not going to use them again, so there's no point.

Get Zoner's working.

But it might be the same problem! ;)

Elon- you should help us encourage new mappers to use good habits. Trying to solve more than one problem at a time is not a good habit to get into.

It's unlikely that the token error is preventing hlcsg output, so the problem to work on is the error you know you have - no hlcsg output.

Use the Check for Problems option in Hammer to see if there are bad solids or other problems.
Posted 19 years ago2005-11-03 13:01:42 UTC Post #145056
What that I'm saying that the same problem with zoners could be the same problem with quake's tools! So why not read that page and see if thats the real problem! :furious:

It work now.. thanks all!!

But.. how do i pack file in rpm??
Posted 19 years ago2005-11-03 13:23:26 UTC Post #145066
No Elon, the Zoners tools automatically fixes the Token to large error, because the Q-tools are actualy meant for Quake mapping/compiling. The Quake engine uses a different kind of wad format, so maybe thats causing the Token... error.
But.. how do i pack file in rpm??
Err... What?
Posted 19 years ago2005-11-03 13:29:32 UTC Post #145069
i read that i need to pack all my files in *.rpm so other can download my map!! how??
Posted 19 years ago2005-11-03 13:32:27 UTC Post #145070
Just put the BSP in a zip file...
Posted 19 years ago2005-11-03 13:41:12 UTC Post #145076
and wad files?
Posted 19 years ago2005-11-03 13:51:51 UTC Post #145083
You don't need to include the wad files unless you're using custom textures in a custom wad.

You say it works now. You should share with the rest of us what you did to fix the problem!
Posted 19 years ago2005-11-03 13:57:18 UTC Post #145086
ok.. first.. i use some wad files that my friend dont have..

i downloaded Zoners tools and changes:

+map mario -game cstrike -deadmatch

to

+map $file -game cstrike -dev -console +deathmatch 1
Posted 19 years ago2005-11-03 13:58:32 UTC Post #145088
where should i save the zip file?? in cstrikemap ??
Posted 19 years ago2005-11-03 14:03:13 UTC Post #145089
...

Just make a .zip and drag all the neccisary files into it... easy

i understand that.. but where to put the zip file?
Posted 19 years ago2005-11-03 14:49:21 UTC Post #145097
Doesn't metter, the zip contains the files so you can host the zip in TWHL. When someone will download it he'll have to open it and place the BSP in cstrike/maps! ;)
Posted 19 years ago2005-11-03 14:54:46 UTC Post #145103
If you plan to submit the map to the TWHL map vault, you'll be asked for the name of your zip file when you click "Submit a Map" in the map vault.

It doesn't matter where it is on your machine, it'll be uploaded from there.
