I spent a lot of time today researching CPU statistics. This is because I thought there weren't enough comparisons out there between AMD and Intel chips. Here is the link:

http://arsham.farvista.net/galthingy/cpuchart.php

Now before m0p says this is a load of crap how can this blah omfg n00blet Let me say that which each chip I took an average of all the core types with different benchmarks then came up with my own statistic which I later used to place it in a region. So I am pretty sure that I got most of it right. Although when I actually compiled the page i was shit tired and may have made a mistake then.

The best part of this comparison against other ones in my opinion is the fact that it pitches the chips against rival ones.

Anyway, long story short: Enjoy and tell me what you think! Please remember that this page is about content over design so don't moan about my webpage design skills!

PS. While your on my site feel free to browse to the TWHL gallery where I have some exclusive pictures (mainly for mine and ZombieLoffes taste :D )

Would have been nice to see some overclocking potential summaries. Athlon 64 4600+? That's an X2?

The comparison between Intel and AMD is helpful, but I'm not sure that the divisons are all that useful between, say, an Athlon 64 3500+ and a 3700+.

Yeah, there are some massive typo's in there. I'll revise it in a few days time.

You didn't include the Pentium-M 780 anywhere. It sucks at stock, but if you are using a Pentium-M on a desktop system, you should know how to get a decent clock out of it. This kinda sucks.
m0p m0pIllogical.

I'll take all the criticism I can get and work on the new one. Thanks guys :D

EDIT: Version 2.0 is is done! Feel free to make more suggestions.

I think you should be comparing sanely-overclocked CPUs myself. I certainly won't leave an Athlon 64 at stock speeds, but I will just be air-cooling it.

That'll be my next project. A table of overclocking recommendations, how far people have taken it and I will compare it to its rival (AMD/Intel).
How about it? Tell me what you think.

Same here, in fact it's what I have right now :) .

Sounds good.

Exactly what do you have, and how far have you taken it?

Haven't really taken it that far. 200MHz or so. It's my "Stable" system. I have two nice blue neon fans. Not that the neons make a difference, but they look damn cool!

so for your next table your going to have like a bar graph thingy? with how far people are generally able to take their CPU's and how far they have been taken?

if so, you might want to check out Hardware asylum, Xtream systems, and the ORB, for some raw data.

and make sure you put the records for the limit they've been taken to, like Kinc's world record on the FX-57 at 3905Mhz.

Thanks, will do. If anyone wants to help tell me. It's gonna take a hell of a lot of information.
