Want a Mapvault award shining in your profile?
If you do - read on.

The mapvault review-a-thon is a competition, where the prize is a MV award.
It's pretty simple, if you wanna win it. You just have to review/comment as much maps as possible till' christmas. Your reviews will be judged by the moderators. Quality goes over quantity here.
You can only review/comment the maps that have been posted after November 1st. Constructive criticism is the main requirement.
If you want to participate - just let us know in this thread. Your comments will be judged in a 5* system and by Christmas - your scores will be calculated and the member with the highest score will be the winner.

May the competition begin!

If this little compo gets users to give better than one-sentence, or one-phrase, or even one-word reviews that are not punctuated, I will rejoice, and sacrifice a calf for Lucifer!

However, I think most are either too busy, too self-indulged, or waste too much time in the "Stuff" forum--that'd be me--to worry about what their peers are doing. It's really their loss, because you learn a lot by playing other's maps.

Here is a little help for those who want a CS map to rate. I wont be able to enter this Competition, sadly I barely have enough time to work on my own maps, let alone review someone elses.

It really doesn't take that long, and It's a nice mini break from whatever else your woring on to play/rate somebody's masterpiece.

I Think I'm going to take my own advice right now and write some bowel-destructing reviews... :P

I dont mean to spam this thread, but I'm at work right now, so I can't "take a mini break from whatever else I'm doing" when I'm not a work, I'm with my girlfriend, or mapping, or doing homework, or at school. I cherish my free time, and I get things done that I need to do. rating other people's maps just doesnt fit in sometimes. I'm sorry, if that offends anyone.

You shouldn't take it personally at all. Almost nobody rates maps. It's not a big deal, really.

The real loss is to the person not doing the rating, anyway, because you can learn so much from other's stuff--even the really bad maps have cool things in them often! ;)

No.. You need to review EVERY map in EVERY vault, for ANY MOD no matter if it CAN BE RATED or not!

how can we reciew EVERYTHING without it? i only have 63mb of ram do the math. and no i cant afford a new computer
