Every time Im done with my map...(which includes player start, light, ect.) and press F9, and press ok, the following error comes up:

Ive looked at every tutorial. I think the problem is the "Place compiled maps in this directory before running the game" file is wrong. I have counter strike 1.6, and that is what im making the map for. could some one tell my what "they" put for that directory. Or just help me out. Im a noob and anything will help. I really want to compile.

Could you post up your compile and "the other tab"s settings so I could correct it? (I cant think of the name of the other tab, brain fart, you know which tab I mean,)

ya.... It would be awsome if you could tell me what settings i should put for the "Build programs" tab.

download ZHLT for one, check the links page. they are newer then the default quake tools and are designed for half-life instead of quake. then make sure you have every directory setting right, the ones above seem to be fine

Get the zoner compile tools =), and, I was meaning the other tab, with the executable directory, and that stuff,

ok i downloaded the ZHLT (latest version). Now what do i do..

I guess from what ive seen up there, extract those into your hammer/tools folder, and then set your bsp, csg, vis, and rad into the zoner hlbsp hlcsg hlvis and hlrad,

unsure, zoners worked well for me when I first put it in,

is your zoner in your hammer files? :

no, I just have a folder I put all my fdg's and compile tools into located in my C:// drive, its all preference where you have it,

Wierd... why would the compiler try and copy the .map file?
