I had no idea, but there are people who devote their lives to hand-tuning the .nav files for CS:S. There are entire communities out there just for this purpose, similar to TWHL and the SnarkPit for mapping.

I never thought there are hobbists who have such a specialized interest. In fact, some of them volunteer to tune my .nav file for my custom map.

The internet is amazing.

Intersting, can you link to a site such as that?

There's a community for anything, you just have to be patient enough to look for it.

This is only one of them. There are a few more, but you can find links to all of them from the link I provided.

The bots scripts are pretty useful too.

Waypointers. It's not that hard to do, though a bad waypoint could make bots the ultimate campers.

I spent the last two weeks (everyday) fine-tuning bots navigation for my cs_justice map. It's fun watching the bots strategize. The only way to test the outcome is to play the map with the bots.

I've gotten very very good at tuning the mesh. Sometimes the bots are so intelligent that it's scary. I was sniping the CTs from a hiding spot on the roof, and the bots somehow figured that out. They sent a team of three CTs from the ground level all the way to the roof and killed me there.

Like Frankenstein? I never read Shelly's fiction. Did Frankenstein kill his creator?

Pretty sure that he did, yes. I remember the monster jumping off the ship. Frankenstein himself might have died of natural causes, though.
