Hi, used the search as much as I thought appropriate and no answers...

Firstly may I say this is a fantastic resource for mapping - keep up the good work.

Anyway, I have a rather complex elevator situation in a CS map and recently discovered that the doors are doing all sorts of strange things at the start of a new round. At map load, all is fine, but from then on all the elevator doors are closed from the start of a round!

After some fiddling, it seems that the engine just 'puts' the doors in the closed position despite their status to start open, however the game 'thinks' that the doors are open, because a manual button trigger for the doors takes two activations for them to open.

Anyway, all the details are probably largely irrelevant. Does anyone know of a way to reset these retarded entities at the start of a round? The doors are func_trains and I'm certain they're all set correctly - the fact this is part of a fancy elevator just means I can't do any quick fixes like triggering the doors a set number of times at player spawn, as the doors trigger other events as they open and close !!

put it in the problem map section - let people look at and be sure its set up correct. thats my idea anyway

There's a tutorial on resetting things at the start of rounds over at Counter-Map. You could un-check "Start open" and just trigger 'em at the start of every round... maybe.
