This weekend Valve is inviting everyone to try Day of Defeat: Source for free via Steam. Visit Steampowered.com to pre-load the game and be set to play at 12:00 pm PST on Friday, when the Free Weekend begins. well that's crapshit, by the time my 56kbs internet downloads it, the weekend will be over and apparently i wont be able to play it! BOOO valve BOOO :cry:

This is great, DoD is free during the weekend me and my freinds are having a LAN!

btw, you can download it and keep it anytime but you just will not be able to play it. there are no cracks or patches for this sort of thing.

Not for Steam there isn't.

DoD: S will get locked after the weekend and VALVE will probably spam you with offers to purchase it. I won't be getting it, I have 33k, it'll take me ages. Which is a pity, I'd be be whoring so many materials/props. :D

And hey, I play CS:S on my connection...

HL2 got cracked, but its amazingly buggy and that wasnt a crack to open up preloaded files, it was a no-cd crack. Anyway I doubt anyone would be botherd enough.

also check out the video at the bottom of this page, Its all amde in the DoD:S engine.

There are cracks for everything. Even steam is hackable. If it has a source code (which it needs to operate on a PC) it can be edited with the right know-how.

For the record I'm not promoting illegal software here I'm just speaking the truth!

It is 7th. they used some new real time video technique that is being developed for games, though it isnt in dod yet, hope it will be though.
