Alright i compile my new map without HDR and i get this error in the log

No such variable "$hdrbasetexture" for material "skybox/assaultrt"
Can't load skybox file skybox/assault to build the default cubemap!

Nothing else is wrong in the log.

When i play the map, the lightmaps appear pixelated and bumpmapping does not work, if i build cubemaps and try to restart the game (CS:S) locks up.

Anyone else getting this? Anyone know whats wrong - as always help is appreciated.

Are you using a HDR sky? Try changing skies...
Erm I dunno anything else...Maybe Hammer is b0rked yet again.

Assault is not an HDR Skybox. Use the Militia one or the Lostcoast one.

But he doesn't want HDR right? So surely the Assault sky should work...

Yeah HDR just shouldnt be in there at all, i hate it and never compile with it but its giving me errors. :furious:

I get an error similar to that, but I notice no difference in-game.

I had an error similar to this. Did you use a 3d skybox? I placed a cubemap in the 3d skybox attatched to all the faces in the 3d box, and one cubemap under the enviornment light and attatched that to the faces of the sky texture. Maybe that will work?

I dont know, i dont have a skybox, but then again my SDK's been playing up for ages now

I have experienced no lighting problems...Did you compile on full and fast?

Full, i think this glitch has stoppe, im just getting Normal map errors now with Custom materials.
