I use a whole lot of keyboard shortcuts to launch everything, or aliases for the "Run" dialogue. Winkey+R, "mpc", enter. There, Media Player Classic. Winkey+O, hey, it's Opera. Et cetera, ad mortem.

Heck no. Too much clutter. I've got things mapped to my multimedia keyboard, including Winamp controls. I hate a cluttered computer.
