General forums always end up with so many 'something vs something' threads and the arguments are such utter drivel that I beat my head against the keyboard in disdain. Especially that source vs halflife 1 thing I posted, that was stupid.

Meh, such threads sometimes create quite interesting discussions. More often though, they end up being flamewars between the two (or more) sides. Still, so does most things on TWHL.

TWHL has changed since you were last here, jobabob.

People tend to copy my poll ideas and such, or so it seems. I started a comparison thread a while ago "Old TWHL vs New TWHL" other people did some random crap vs threads right afterwards. Now I've posted the "Mapping vs Modelling" thread and for some reason epople seem to feel the need to start crap like "bacon vs sausage".
Edit; I just realized that Jobabob posted his Half Life vs Source thread before mine, however my thread was not influenced by his. just wanted to have that cleared up.

The most interesting general discussion is almost always on IRC... which is a better way 'round than having all the mapping there, and not here.

Yeah, Alex is right. At its busy times, IRC produces some great conversations (and some retarded ones, but hey, we all love those ones). I guess a lot of people come and go during in-active periods. Oh well, your loss.
