As the title says, i recently came by this article, im quite positive its not edited, though i hoped someone else could shed some light on this.

The article:
http://www.shoutwire.com/viewstory/9311/Bizarre_baby_born_in_Nepal

Information on the subject:
http://www.xenomed.com/forums/general-talks/1487-fact-about-kantipur-report-bizarre-baby-born-dolakha.html

Quite sad to see, especialy how people looked at it like it was some sort of alien and not a form of life.

Why would you have remorse? Its an abomination. Its very existance is suffering. It cant develop a concienceness. Death was its only escape.

How sad........

I wonder what would happen if it would grow up and have children and in the end his race will replace the human race... that depends on which one might be stronger...

"he did not feel any remorse for its death"
what an asshole.
Would you rather someone die young, perhaps right as they are born, so that they do not feel it or do not realize that they are dying? Or would you rather have someone die when they are older and can comprehend what is happening to them?
Posted 18 years ago2006-04-19 21:02:50 UTC Post #175388
Hmm, you make a strong point there.. At that time your brain is far from being fully developed, and thats why we have a hard time remembering when we where a child. Then again everyone dies at some point, so, I'm not going to go around telling everyone I wish I died when I was a baby.. just don't work.. lol :)

My god, i can't look at that picture, how very sad. And yet, as sad as it is we still manage to debate over who's the biggest arsehole! Geez. :
The bizarre baby, however, died after half an hour of its birth, Suntali, the mother, informed. It was taken to the hospital after its death.
Makes you think about what they had planned to do with the dead child. Calling the baby an abomination, seem's harsh, it was an unfortunate event of nature that the child suffered Anencephaly. The real shocking part is that the baby was paraded through the streets to be looked at like some sortof freak.

Babies die every day. Yes, it's sad, but I STILL wanna know who's the biggest a-hole.

I was surprised that they set the baby in a pot and paraded it around. that was kinda mean.
Posted 18 years ago2006-04-19 23:52:32 UTC Post #175406
That's was bloody cruel and inhumane.

ED: Even worse is the fact that it happened within Half-an-hour of the child's birth! "No-time to check the babies condition! Just get 'it' out of here and parade 'it' around in a pot!". Sick people.

Strider, I think it was dead when they paraded wasn't it?
Posted 18 years ago2006-04-20 00:02:19 UTC Post #175410
Well, that only makes it worse if so. The baby doesn't look dead in those photos though.

hmmm, I can't tell. But either way, it's pretty mean. But, they have different ways of doing things over there... Who are we to be intolerant of thier way of life?
Posted 18 years ago2006-04-20 00:11:25 UTC Post #175415
Parading a disformed baby around in public is hardly anyone's way of life. But i understand, it may be custom for them to parade new born's around in public as a celebration, i don't know. But circumstances like that would change the way they do things, you would think anyway.

I dunno, traditions are really stong for eastern cultures. but either way, it's over now and the baby will not ahve to suffer going to school with a bunch of ppl with necks and who don't have frog-eyes. That kid would get made fun of so horrible he would want to die....
Posted 18 years ago2006-04-20 00:36:01 UTC Post #175421
I think all who get diagnosed Anencephaly aren't expected to live long anyway. It just seems so sick that anyone could parade that poor child around like that.

Posted 18 years ago2006-04-20 00:46:14 UTC Post #175427
if that happened in america, things would be a whole lot different because of our policies of child care. its sad that the kid was treated that way.

...

damn it i so want to crowbar that asshole's face...

Drawin INVENTED evolution, not just the concept of natural selection, he set in motion the wheels for all progressive mutation for the rest of time.

You mean, shrek. Anyways, Do you actually think the baby's death was natural, it is also possible the parents, or doctors killed it. : But I know if I was born that way, I'd for sure want to be dead, it's so sad.. could you imagine what his future would have been like.

Babies who are born in that condition aren't even concious, and cannot feel pain. So who honestly cares if it's inhumane to parade it around like that? It's not even concious.

Saying that you are not sad about it's death is alright by me, cos as most people have said, death would be an improvement on it's condition.

But how he said ?I am just happy that nothing happened to my wife,? makes it sound so much more heartless.

Went there a while ago and it was a series of pics of a cat that got run over, then another series of pics an hour later and an hour after that, and so on.

Jobabob: darwin DID invent evolution. When's the last time you saw something "evolving?"

Judging by the increasing amout of people like YOU i meet every day, I'd say Darwin had it backwards.

Pepper... this STARTED OUT as one. see post #1 for details. Note the sarcastic "creation science" remark.

I'm in the wrong thread. lol. They're all so similar.

Normally I just try not to bring stuff from one thread to another, but these are all the same, mostly because of Jobabob, I'd say.
Here's "the four stages of thread progression"

1. thread is started, normally about something bad, unusual that has happened or is happening.
2. Jobabob makes a sarcastic comment about how God sucks for allowing it to happen.
3. I take the bait and post like 10 pages.
4. it turns into a religious debate.

Nickel, i've noticed that since you became active a little while ago you've been very offensive to a major amount of people. I dont think that is what you want but it does happend. You might want to try to be a little bit more senstive.

Jobabob eh? He always does this and always will do this. Every forum has his own Jobabob. You tend to take a lot of offence from him.
Posted 18 years ago2006-04-20 15:26:50 UTC Post #175609
So who's being offensive?

How am I being offensive? I've only called one person a name on this forum once time. I've presented logic and not emotion, and people get offended by it. However, when someone wants to insult my religion, they say it's not logical and not rational and people agree with them.

Fact is, everyone is going to take offense at things they don't agree with, especially if it makes sense. I don't find Jobabob offensive 9 times out of 10, most of the time he's sarcastic/silly but he's always a bit caustic and looking for someone to take offense so he can make fun of them.

I'm just tired of people saying I'm closed-minded and blind because I beleive a certain way. Anyone who doesn't consider my path as a possibility is not being open-minded. Pretty hypocritical for all these people calling me a bigot, because I think that buttsex is gross.

You all want everyone to have EVERY right to do what they want, except freedom of speech when they disagree with you, right to bear arms when YOUR country doesn't have that right, and freedom of religion.
Posted 18 years ago2006-04-20 15:55:06 UTC Post #175622
Yes, we have those discussions a lot. But as far as i know you are the only one that offends people and takes offence from others. I dont know, but this aint the Snarkpit, keep that in mind.

I don't take offense! Seriously!

And the only reason that people might get offended by me is because i actually disagree with them. GASP! Maybe people need to have thier beliefs shaken once or twice in life. I know it's happened to me, but I came out stronger for it.
