I installed steam to see what its like and the rest. But know i cannot use the origanal hl, how would i set up Hemmer so it works ith steam or how should i just unistall steam, will the original hl work then. i can still play the maps just dont know where the wads are and stuff like that to map for it.

Reinstall normal HL, the WADs and PAKs are all hidden away in .GCFs. You might try Nemesis' GCFScape, you might be able to get them.

Dont worry im being an idiot, when i instaled steam all the links to the old hl changed but if i go into the hl folder i can open it in there. Ill use steam for mp and stuff and normall hl for mapping.

its good for mp, better updates friends list and all that stuff just rubish for sp which is what i prefere.
