Built a room, some lighting, and was bored so I decided to create a pyramid of boxes...

Got out the crossbow and started shooting certain ones out...

I saw this and thought "What the hell???"

As you can see, the 4 boxes are being balanced on ONE POINT of a box piece underneath

I wonder if the MythBusters would like to tackle THAT one LOL

Are you sure they're not stuck in eachother?

Heh, fun. :) Looks like the top crate almost hits the ceiling, perhaps that has some influence?

Might also be the amount of physical objects in one view.
Happened to me when I made a house of physbox and blew it up.

I had to remove several peices during the explosion

I like messing with the physics in the source engine....

Mainly because they are utterly crap? The collisions on stuff are terrible.

Erm, compared to a lot of recent games (the new Tom Clancy game springs to mind) the physics and the ragdoll engine in Source is pretty decent.

Yes source physics are excellent compared to other games.

It's good stuff in a relative way, but compared to how it could be in best case, it sucks.

Before physics in any games get even close to "best case goodness", we're all going to have dedicated physics processors built onto our graphics cards.

Which won't be too far in the future ;)
